Innovex E-Motion Tour Golf Ball Won't Disappoint
INNOVEX E-MOTION TOUR GOLF BALL REVIEWInnovex Golf, a smaller golf equipment company, located in Medina, WA is making positive waves in the golf ball industry with the introduction of its E-Motion & V-Motion Tour golf balls. Innovex Golf started in early 2004. What makes Innovex Golf unique is not only the high-quality of their products, but that Innovex Golf spends wisely on marketing, so that the cost of marketing/packaging the golf ball doesn’t get passed on to you, the golf consumer. In recessionary times, it is important to avid golfers to get tour-quality products for less money. RealGolfBuyingGuide.com had the pleasure of using and reviewing the Innovex Golf V-Motion Tour & E-Motion Tour golf balls recently for several reviews we intend to publish & promote soon on WordPress, Tumblr, Twitter & Facebook, to name a few. The Innovex E-Motion Tour golf ball has a 392 parallel dimple design that features shallow, flatter dimples that promote a more penetrating trajectory, as well as smoother roll on greens when putting. The construction of the E-Motion Tour is 3-piece design with a Ionomer Surlyn® cover. Surlyn® is a trade name, patented by DuPont™ and has been incorporated in golf ball applications for more than 40 years. DuPont™ has about 20 grades of Surlyn® for different uses. The golf ball is specifically designed with a ‘Progressive Motion Dual Core’ to fly farther, spin faster, and feel softer, while offering great durability. Innovex Golf says that the dual core senses impact loft and velocity for great feel and maximum distance. The first thing you notice about the E-Motion golf ball is the smoother, flatter dimple design. Since the cover is an Ionomer Surlyn® cover, the cover doesn’t feel as sticky as a cast urethane cover. The flatter dimple design really makes the ball react differently when putting and chipping. I would recommend this golf ball when playing in windy, wetter conditions on slower greens, as the flight pattern/trajectory is more penetrating and consistent. Wedge shots flew high and straight. When compared to the TaylorMade Penta (a 5-piece ball) on wedge shots from around 75 yards in 15-20 mph winds, the E-Motion Tour performed more consistently and seemed to be lighter at 45 grams, than the Penta,at 46 grams. (Don’t ask me how I felt the 1 gram difference, but we did confirm later after weighing the balls). While chipping around the greens, from 10 to 20 feet, the ball rolled out better than the cast urethane tour balls, but the cover was soft enough to maintain feel and spin. Tests performed during putting showed that the E-Motion Tour skidded much less at impact and the shallower dimple design assisted the ball rolling better soon after impact, while maintaining important feel and feedback charateristics. The E-Motion Tour felt great at impact with driver shots, as well as long iron shots, and the ball was easy to compress and the shots flew very straight with a penetrating flight pattern. The distances would not qualify as “extreme” but definitely were as long or longer than the Penta on iron shots, but shorter on drives. Additionally, the Ionomer Surlyn® cover resists scufffing, so you’re not tossing the ball in the drink after a few wedge shots. The Innovex E-Motion Tour golf ball, for about $24.95/dozen, is an amazingly versatile, high-quality, top-performing, tour-quality golf ball for the money and much better than golf balls that cost more. The E-Motion Tour looks & performs like a more expensive golf ball, and would definitely have to rate in the top 5 golf balls we have tested in 2011.
